- Actually I bought the Pentium Win95 CD version of Mechwarrior2
- a few days ago and it runs very nicely and very smoothly--it's a
- fantastic game. I don't buy DOS products anymore and can't imagine
- anyone wanting to fiddle with DOS in this day and age.
-
- Perhaps the report came from someone who didn't meet
- the minimal requrements of a pentium processor, quad speed CD, etc. I
- run it at 640x480 and it's very nice.
-
- What puzzled me though was why Microsoft, selling their Sidewinder
- Pro joystick (which is also very good by the way) included a DOS version
- of Mechwarrior2 in the same box at the same time they released Win95 and
- stressed the plug and play features of the joystick.
-
- Any game where you need to calabrate your joystick or fool
- with DOS memory you should just toss in the trash where it belongs.
-
- When is the OS/2 version due??
