  22.     Actually I bought the Pentium Win95 CD version of Mechwarrior2
  23. a few days ago and it runs very nicely and very smoothly--it's a 
  24. fantastic game.  I don't buy DOS products anymore and can't imagine
  25. anyone wanting to fiddle with DOS in this day and age.

  27.     Perhaps the report came from someone who didn't meet
  28. the minimal requrements of a pentium processor, quad speed CD, etc.  I 
  29. run it at 640x480 and it's very nice.

  31.     What puzzled me though was why Microsoft, selling their Sidewinder 
  32. Pro joystick (which is also very good by the way) included a DOS version 
  33. of Mechwarrior2 in the same box at the same time they released Win95 and 
  34. stressed the plug and play features of the joystick.

  36.     Any game where you need to calabrate your joystick or fool
  37. with DOS memory you should just toss in the trash where it belongs.
